The WRC rejected a complainant’s claims of religion discrimination and victimisation against a public representative. In a decision dated 26 April 2018, the adjudicator found he had not shown less favourable treatment on religious grounds. He had asked the representative to intervene after his Jobseekers allowance was reduced following his withdrawal from a Job Path scheme.
On victimisation, the adjudicator found he had not established that the representative’s failure to intervene was adverse treatment because of an earlier complaint. The WRC concluded that he was neither discriminated against on grounds of religion nor victimised.
