A chef was entitled to minimum notice, statutory redundancy and €360 for four days of unused annual leave after a restaurant closed without warning. The WRC decision was dated 4 September 2017. The chef had worked at the restaurant for more than two years. The entitlements were based on a start date of 21 April 2014, a termination date of 18 July 2016 and gross weekly pay of €450. The redundancy entitlement was subject to verification that the chef had been in insurable employment. The restaurant company had gone into liquidation.
