Workplace Relations Commission ·

The WRC awarded an HGV driver €396 in gross unpaid wages after he worked eight days, including a training day, for a haulage company. The decision was dated 8 November 2017. The driver said he was due €110 a day and €27 daily subsistence. The company said the rate was €100 and disputed any subsistence agreement. The officer allowed eight days at €110 a day and €27 subsistence per day, less payments already made. The award is on a gross basis and is to be taxed.
