The WRC found two unpaid-wages complaints by a warehouse worker well founded and ordered the employer to pay €1,382.96 and €4,300.68. The decision was dated 9 June 2017. The worker said she was owed €1,382.96 for November and December 2015, and claimed €4,300.86 for January and February 2016. The employer confirmed the claimed figures reflected the money owed, but said it had entered liquidation in April 2016 without enough funds to pay its employees. The adjudicator accepted there was reasonable cause for the delay and treated both complaints as in time.
