The Workplace Relations Commission recommended that a City Council apply incremental credit to a Fire Prevention Officer for his previous service with local authorities. The recommendation was dated 1 May 2018. The officer sought the credit after a break in public service. The adjudicator said the same rules should apply across local authorities and recommended credit on the basis authorised for the officer’s current local-authority employment, to be implemented within 42 days.
