The WRC dismissed a care worker’s constructive dismissal complaint after finding she had not used her employer’s grievance procedures before resigning. The decision was dated 5 July 2017. The worker said her transfer to a challenging care facility and concerns about a new client led her to resign. The health service provider said it had accommodated her with changes to shifts and duties. The adjudication officer found that a union email did not set out the specific grievance or give the provider a chance to address it. Her concern about the new client had also not been raised with the provider. The officer dismissed complaint CA-00007199-001.
