A WRC adjudication officer ordered an employer to pay a supervisor €7,068 net in wages compensation and €2,022 for unpaid notice. The decision was dated 25 May 2017. The supervisor claimed outstanding wages and holiday pay totalling €7,798.98 and said he had not received statutory notice. The employer accepted that €7,068 net was owed and acknowledged entitlement to a month’s notice, but said part of the notice period had been worked and the supervisor had been paid through 31 August 2016. The officer found the wages complaint well founded and required payment of €7,068 net. The supervisor had received nine of 20 notice days, so the officer found the notice complaint well founded and ordered payment of the €2,022 balance. The redundancy complaints became superfluous after the statutory entitlement was paid following the hearing.
