The WRC dismissed a student’s age discrimination complaint after finding no evidence that age affected his refusal from a diploma course. The decision was dated 4 April 2018. The student said he met the entry requirements and that a less qualified student had been admitted. The institution said he did not meet the course’s academic requirements. The adjudicator found that the course was designed for graduates of other disciplines, the comparator had a different academic profile, and students’ ages showed no preference for an age group.
