The WRC recommended that an events contractor pay a truck driver €800 in full and final settlement of a trade dispute. The recommendation was dated 25 July 2017. The driver raised concerns about defective or untaxed vehicles, safety clothing and lunch breaks. He said he stopped work over the issues and later sought his P45 and holiday pay. The contractor disputed many of his allegations and said his entitlements had been paid. The adjudication officer noted that the contractor had not kept records of working hours and breaks or issued written terms, but those matters were not before him as such.
