A beauty salon was ordered to pay a nail technician €172 after the WRC found she had received only one week’s wages for two weeks worked. The decision was dated 28 February 2017. The technician said she had agreed to work 19 hours a week at minimum wage and that her employment ended after two weeks. The salon said she had not worked the stated hours and had taken product, but agreed that €172 was due. The officer found it was common ground that the technician had worked two weeks and been paid for one.
