The WRC found a kitchen porter was entitled to statutory redundancy after the restaurant where she worked closed without notice. The decision was dated 30 June 2017. The respondent did not attend the hearing. The adjudication officer relied on the kitchen porter’s uncontested evidence and directed the respondent to pay her redundancy entitlement for service from 20 August 2012 to 29 July 2016.
