WRC orders engineering company to pay electrician €2,000 in wage case

By Orla Quinn

Workplace Relations Commission ·

The Workplace Relations Commission found Three Electricians’ wage complaints well founded and ordered an engineering company to pay them €2,000, €1,400 and €1,659.08. Adjudication Officer Patsy Doyle dated the decision 16 December 2016. The electricians said wages due in February 2016 had not been paid. Their counsel told the hearing that the company had agreed a settlement and asked for it to be included in the decision. The company did not attend. Doyle accepted counsel’s account of the agreement and ordered payment of the three amounts within four weeks.
