The WRC found Ms. Z.’s three complaints well founded and ordered A Newsagent to pay €220 for one week’s notice and €440 for a breach of written-terms rules. It also awarded her statutory redundancy based on her service from 30 June 2008 to 17 May 2016 and gross weekly pay of €220, subject to insurable employment. The decision was dated 5 April 2017. Ms. Z. said she had received only three of the four weeks’ notice she was due and had never received written terms of employment. She also claimed statutory redundancy for her full period of service. The adjudication officer relied on uncontested evidence in finding each complaint well founded.
