A WRC adjudication officer dismissed a fast food worker’s redundancy claim against a fast food outlet operator on two grounds, in a decision dated 25 April 2017. The worker said he was entitled to redundancy after the operator gave up the outlet concession. The officer found his employment transferred back to the original licence owner and that he continued working as normal. The officer also found that the worker later resigned to return to college. The former operator was not liable for a redundancy payment.
