The WRC dismissed a delivery driver’s constructive dismissal complaint against a wholesale meat distributor, finding that the employer’s conduct did not justify his resignation. The decision was dated 22 June 2017. The driver alleged excessive hours, bullying, pressure to return after an accident and an inadequate response to his grievances. The employer disputed his account and said it had investigated his concerns. The adjudication officer found the employer’s conduct did not meet the tests for constructive dismissal. The two working-time complaints and the wages complaint were also dismissed as out of time; the merits of those claims were not decided.
