The WRC upheld a Director of Nursing and Midwifery’s grievance about how a health service provider handled her written complaint against an assistant national director of human resources. The INMO represented her. Adjudication Officer Seán Reilly dated the recommendation 14 July 2017.
The adjudicator found it unreasonable to send the grievance only to the person it concerned and said the director was not afforded fair procedures. He recommended that another management member investigate the grievance urgently, with both sides co-operating. He declined to recommend ending or suspending a separate investigation into complaints made against the director by 14 colleagues.
