The Workplace Relations Commission rejected an accounts worker’s constructive dismissal complaint against a transport company, finding she had not tried the available grievance procedures before resigning. The decision was dated 23 November 2017. The worker said the managing director’s conduct left her no choice but to resign. The company denied constructive dismissal and said she had not used its grievance procedure. The WRC found she knew about the procedures but made no effort to use them or raise her concerns with another director. It found she had not been unfairly dismissed and rejected the complaint as not well founded.
