A worker was awarded €9,937.05 in unpaid commission after a recruitment company accepted it owed the money, a Workplace Relations Commission adjudicator decided on 30 September 2016. The worker said the company had closed and claimed €12,021.13 in commission. The company accepted it owed €9,937.05, and a letter on company headed paper confirmed the debt. The company did not attend the hearing, and the adjudicator found the complaint well founded on the worker’s uncontested evidence. The adjudicator also recommended that the company provide the worker with a P45 to help him manage his employment affairs.
