The Workplace Relations Commission rejected a worker’s constructive dismissal claim, finding she was not justified in resigning. The decision was dated 12 December 2016. She had withdrawn five other complaints, including equality and working time claims. The worker said workplace treatment and repeated contact during sick leave contributed to her resignation. The employer said it offered support, extended project deadlines and contacted her about certificates and her safety. The adjudication officer found no significant breach of the employment contract and considered the employer’s conduct reasonable in the circumstances. The unfair dismissal complaint failed on its merits.
