WRC orders warehouse company to pay worker €6,685.25 in wage complaint

Workplace Relations Commission ·

The WRC ordered a warehouse company to pay a worker €6,685.25 compensation after finding her wage complaints well founded. The decision was dated 24 October 2016. The worker said she had received only €1,000 towards her January wages by 5 February and claimed unpaid wages, overtime, holiday and public holiday pay. The company did not attend the hearing. The decision named Brendan Owens of the Insolvency Service of Ireland as the liquidator’s contact. The adjudicator relied on the worker’s uncontested evidence and required payment within four weeks.
