The Workplace Relations Commission found that a retail supervisor’s constructive-dismissal complaint was not well founded. The decision was dated 19 January 2017. The worker said a reorganisation effectively demoted her and that she resigned after conflict with the successful applicant for the role she considered her own. The employer said she accepted the new arrangements and did not appeal the outcome of a separate grievance. The adjudicator found she could have raised a grievance about the reorganisation and demotion before resigning. Her failure to do so was fatal to the complaint.
