A bakery worker’s claims for redundancy, public holiday pay and annual leave failed after the WRC found she had resigned before her employment ended. The decision was dated 21 June 2016. The worker said she had received no redundancy payment or termination notice and sought payment for public holidays and annual leave. The bakery said she resigned in writing on 14 March 2015, effective 21 March. The WRC found there was no evidence of a redundancy situation and that the two working-time complaints were out of time; the merits of those complaints were not decided. The redundancy claim failed on its merits because the decision found she had resigned and ceased to be an employee.
