The WRC awarded a construction worker €750 over shift rosters in a decision dated 29 July 2016. It also awarded him €585 over his employment terms, €67.64 over an insurance deduction, €705.60 for annual leave and €270 for unpaid public holidays. The worker’s €3,360 claim for travel time between changing work sites was dismissed because he was not comparable to the mobile workers in the Tyco case. A further working-time complaint was also dismissed. The construction company did not attend the hearing.
