The Workplace Relations Commission recommended €2,000 compensation for a worker who said she was bullied and dismissed after a mix-up over customer payments. The recommendation was dated 24 March 2016. The worker said a senior staff member shouted at her after she admitted making a mistake, and that the employer told her to leave without hearing her defence. The employer did not attend the hearing. The WRC found that the worker had been subjected to bullying and harassing behaviour and that her dismissal was procedurally unfair. It also recommended that the employer issue her a P45 within six weeks.
