The WRC found a security guard’s complaints of race discrimination, harassment and equal pay against a security services provider were not well founded in a decision dated 13 October 2016. The guard cited Irish and non-Irish colleagues, including a Polish colleague, who were treated similarly. The WRC found he had not established facts linking his treatment to race. It also found insufficient facts to show that any pay difference was related to race. The employer accepted that it owed him €1,630.72 in separate proceedings, but that amount was not awarded in this decision.
