In 1998, the Labour Court left unchanged a recommendation in a dispute between Waterford Foods PLC and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union about driving duties and a seniority list. The union said the list had not been agreed and that the company had made conflicting commitments. The company said it was following an agreement and that the worker was not employed as a full-time driver. Dated 7 October 1998, the Court found no reason to change the Rights Commissioner’s recommendation that the list be based on service with the company.
