The Labour Court rejected the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union's appeal and upheld a Rights Commissioner's recommendation that the union accept the discipline imposed on a worker by P.W.A. International Limited. The decision was signed on 22 March 1995. The worker had been suspended without pay for two weeks after refusing an instruction to work on a cleaning line, saying the overhead crane lacked an emergency stop button. The company said the crane was out of service and the assigned area was 50 feet away. The Court said the dispute could have been avoided if the issue had been corrected when reported.
