In 1994, the Labour Court rejected Kellistown Chickens Limited's appeal against a £3,000 compensation recommendation for an unnamed stores chargehand, while changing the payment schedule. The decision was signed on 9 May 1994. The revised instalment dates were 30 June 1994, 31 December 1994 and 30 June 1995.
The company said it had already paid £5,023 in compensation and faced continuing losses. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union said the shift-system change had caused substantial losses for the worker. The Court retained the £3,000 recommendation but amended when the three £1,000 instalments were due.
