In 1994, the Labour Court upheld Cahill May Roberts' appeal and found no grounds for compensation for two workers who had lost fork-lift driving duties. A Rights Commissioner had recommended £300 for each worker. The decision was signed on 9 May 1994.

The workers' fork-lift duties had grown to match those of listed drivers, and they had received the weekly allowance for more than 10 years. The dispute arose after they declined to drive outside the warehouse. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union argued they had been unfairly removed from their duties. Cahill May Roberts said fork-lift drivers were required to drive both inside and outside the warehouse.
