The Labour Court rejected a store security officer’s appeal over his transfer from Quinnsworth’s Bray branch to Crazy Prices in Sandyford. The Court said the union had not made a compelling case to change the Rights Commissioner’s recommendation, which therefore stood. The decision was signed on 5 January 1993. The Rights Commissioner had found that Quinnsworth did not act unfairly in the agreed transfer. The recommendation also said the company should give sympathetic consideration to a future application for a store with similar working arrangements and overtime.
