The Labour Court varied a Rights Commissioner's recommendation after an appeal by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union and the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers Union over a pay deduction at Cadbury Ireland Limited. It decided the employees concerned should be paid the six and a half hours deducted during a dispute over production and break arrangements. The Court agreed that claims by other employees who became involved in the dispute would not be sustainable. Its decision was dated 15 October 1992.
