In 1992, the Labour Court recommended that Peamount Hospital and the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union revisit a weekly travel allowance claim for four vocational trainers after the Programme for Economic and Social Progress ended. The union sought £12.99 a week. The Court found merit in the union’s claim but said the cost increase was precluded by the programme. It recommended that the parties address the matter again after the programme concluded. The recommendation was dated 14 October 1992.
