In 1992, the Labour Court recommended changing the remedy for a worker’s unfair dismissal by Reynor Services, replacing an offer of re-engagement with £250 compensation. The recommendation was dated 5 October 1992. The worker had appealed the Rights Commissioner’s recommendation. The Commissioner found that he had contributed substantially to his dismissal but that dismissal was too severe. Reynor Services did not attend the Labour Court hearing.
