The Labour Court set aside a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation after Tesco Ireland Limited appealed a dispute over a worker’s hours. The decision was signed on 23 October 2015. Under an agreement reached at the hearing, the worker would work five days over seven: two days from 8am to 5pm, two from 9am to 6pm, and one from noon to 9pm, not at weekends. Any later change to the pattern was to be agreed by both parties. The Court recommended that the agreement be confirmed in writing and signed.
