The Labour Court upheld a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation that Trinity College Dublin’s Associate Professor selection process was fair and reasonable, and did not uphold a claim for compensation. The decision was dated 12 October 2015. A worker represented by IFUT appealed on behalf of an employee after candidates were mistakenly given incorrect particulars about the interview assessment. The college said the panel applied the correct selection criteria to all candidates. The Court also recommended that the college review how it assesses candidates, sets interview thresholds and describes candidates’ eligibility for a position.
