The Labour Court did not recommend conceding a worker’s claim to transfer back to Loughlinstown Training Centre, saying the move would cross between separate public service bodies. Its appeal decision was dated 26 July 2015. The worker, represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, had voluntarily transferred from Loughlinstown to Ballyfermot Training Centre. After the centres were integrated into different public service bodies, he sought to transfer back. Solas said he should raise the grievance with his current employer. The Court said the Public Service Agreement 2010–2014, as amended, allows inter-agency transfers in limited circumstances, and the dispute may be addressed under that provision.
