The Labour Court upheld a recommendation that a worker at Neville Hotels Limited T/A Royal Marine Hotel was offered suitable alternative employment and was not entitled to redundancy. Her appeal failed. The decision was signed on 10 June 2015. After the hotel outsourced its laundry service, the worker said her restaurant role was unsuitable because of her limited English and its physical demands. The hotel said it offered alternative work, training and support. The Court noted that it accommodated her requests about English classes, rostered days and increasing her weekly hours from 20 to 30.
