Labour Court varies An Post worker’s recommendation after union appeal

The Labour Court varied a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation in an appeal brought by the Communications Workers’ Union on behalf of an An Post worker. The decision was signed on 1 April 2015. The earlier recommendation deferred a decision until the worker had exhausted internal procedures. The Labour Court recommended an independent facilitator review the situation within six weeks and advise the parties on resolving the issues, including helping the worker return to work.
