The Labour Court upheld a €3,000 award to a worker after finding that an inordinate delay in an investigation caused considerable personal financial loss. It decided Walkinstown Association for People with An Intellectual Disability T/A Walk’s appeal on 28 April 2014. The Court found that the written warning was justified and noted that it had expired. It nevertheless affirmed the financial award made by the Rights Commissioner.
