The Labour Court upheld a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation that a worker comply with Galway County Council’s request to receive work expenses by electronic transfer. The decision was signed on 20 February 2012. The worker was represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union. The worker had sought to keep receiving expenses by cheque. The Council offered to pay them into a Credit Union account, but he declined. The Court saw no reason to depart from the Rights Commissioner’s recommendation.
