The Labour Court disallowed an anonymised worker’s appeal and affirmed a recommendation that HSE West pay €940 in settlement of a dispute over a reduction in pay. The decision was signed on 4 March 2011. The worker, represented by the Services Industrial Professional Technical Union, said he had received the payment for several years before it was stopped. The Court found the governing agreement set the allowance at 90% of the craft rate, making the previous arrangement erroneous and one that could not be continued.
