The Labour Court varied a pay recommendation in a dispute between the Irish Amateur Boxing Association (Iaba) and a worker, recommending €1,000 net compensation for missed national wage increases and a notional 12.5% salary increase from 1 January 2006. Its decision was dated 20 November 2006. The worker, who had been employed by the association since 1986, said she had received no national pay increases since May 2002. The IABA said it lacked funds to pay the agreements. The Court also recommended that the Towards 2016 Agreement apply and that the association subscribe to national wage agreements from 1 January 2006.
