The Labour Court upheld a Rights Commissioner’s recommendation that a dispute involving a psychiatric nurse and HSE - Southern Area be treated as closed. The decision was dated 3 July 2006. The union said management had not followed grievance and disciplinary procedures when the nurse was sent home after an incident at St Stephen’s Hospital. Management said the nurse refused to file a report and rejected efforts to resolve the issue. The Court said the nurse had made no effort to resolve the difficulties, while management had made every effort. The worker’s appeal failed.
