The Labour Court recommended that I.S. Varian & Company Limited pay a worker €400 in compensation after finding he expected a stores position to be advertised internally as a promotion. He had previously carried out similar duties, including security work. The Court cited his long service and previous experience in recommending compensation for the disappointment.
