The Labour Court rejected a union appeal seeking to move a Ballina-based Iarnrod Eireann worker from Station Operative 2 to Station Operative 1. The decision was signed on 16 February 2004. The Court found no merit in the regrading claim and upheld the Rights Commissioner’s recommendation, so the appeal failed. It also said the company’s internal system for evaluating regrading claims should be formalised to include an agreed appeals procedure.
