The Labour Court recommended that Compact Waterford Community Employment not concede a worker’s claim for payment for student-supervision hours at Waterpark College. Its decision was dated 15 October 2003. The worker said he helped the caretaker supervise students for about 18 months and believed he had worked 40 unpaid hours. The employer denied asking him to supervise students and said he had been paid all monies due. The Court found no justification for the claim, saying that even if he had supervised students, his employer had not asked him to do so.
