In 2003, the Labour Court affirmed a Rights Commissioner's recommendation against regrading a worker at Iarnrod Eireann and disallowed the union's appeal. The decision was signed on 15 October 2003. The Services Industrial Professional Technical Union sought to move the worker from Clerical Grade 3 to Clerical Grade 2. It said she handled consignment documents and telephone calls at Fastrack, Connolly Station, and covered another clerical post. Iarnrod Eireann said an assessment of her duties did not justify regrading. The Court agreed with the Rights Commissioner's conclusions.
