The Labour Court rejected a worker’s appeal and upheld a recommendation that staff accept St. Francis Private Hospital’s proposed reporting structure. The decision was signed on 6 December 2002. The union argued that the hospital was changing the worker’s conditions without agreement and that the existing arrangements had served laboratory staff for more than 25 years. Management said it had to manage the hospital and that other grades had accepted the new structure.
