The Labour Court upheld a finding that Scoosi Restaurant unfairly dismissed a chef, but reduced the recommended compensation from €1,900 to €750. The decision was signed on 24 October 2002. The employer appealed, saying the worker was employed casually and had failed to work as part of the team. The worker said she was told she was finished after declining a late request to stay beyond her shift. The Court noted that she had made no effort to collect her P45 after an initial visit a few days after her dismissal.
