The Labour Court recommended that T.D.G. Logistics pay a worker £2,500 in full and final settlement of his dismissal dispute. The decision was signed on 12 February 2001. Both the union and the company appealed the Rights Commissioner’s recommendation. The union said the disciplinary process was flawed and the worker should not have been dismissed; the company said his conduct justified dismissal. The Court found that the disciplinary procedures were flawed and did not comply with the company’s policy. It recommended the payment because trust between the worker and the company had broken down.
